Easy, DIY Holiday Advent Calendar
Ho ho ho, I have decided to make ANOTHER DIY advent calendar post because my sister and I ended up making one for my mother (so she didn’t feel left out). We are literally so kind.
This version is much simpler than the DIY Advent Calendar posted above because: 1. Not everyone owns a Cricut cutter, and 2. This one is less time-consuming. Annnnnd 3. Not everyone is a craft GENIUS like me.

DIY Advent Calendar for the Less Crafty
Side note, I am affiliated with Amazon Associates program, so I make a lil mullaaahh off my links, because I am a savvy businesswoman. Ok?

Materials:
- Paper bags – We got ours from Michaels cause we were there, but you can get them cheaper on Amazon.
- Twine – Get it HERE.
- Hole Punch – You might have this laying around, but if not, add it to your Amazon cart.
- Ribbon – Any Christmas ribbon will do! Assorted Christmas Ribbon, Assorted Christmas Ribbon 2 or Christmas Twine.
- Wood/ Branch – We got ours from Michaels, but if you already have an Amazon cart going, Birch Logs are similar.
- Stickers- Numbers 1-25! Scandinavian Style Stickers, Simple Advent Number Stickers or Mixed Number Stickers.
How to:
I apologize for not taking pictures after each step, but it’s sooooo easy I have full confidence you can figure it out.

Step 1:
- Start by putting the 1-25 stickers on each paper bag.
- Then, add each gift into the bags in the desired opening order.
- Fold over the top about 1-2 inches and punch two holes using the hole punch in the middle of the folded top.
- Next, cut your holiday ribbon, string it through the two holes, and tie it in a bow.
- Do this with all 25 bags.

Step 2
- After the ribbon, cut a long piece of twine and tie it to each end of the log to hang. Do that with all the logs.

- Next, cut 25 pieces of different-length twine and string them through the same two holes as the ribbon.
- We decided to hang the three logs before tying on the presents. But you could tie it before hanging. Whatever hangs your holly, rings your jingle bell, lights your tree.
Step 3
- After hanging the three logs, we used nails and hung it on a blank wall, then carefully took the twine and tied it around the logs. We tied them at different lengths and split up the numbers so they weren’t all next to each other.
- Lastly, to get to each gift, just cut down the string! Easy peasy.

That’s all! See, I told you it was easy. If you need some advent fillers, I have a list posted below.
