My Go-To Keto Products for First Time Keto
I decided it would be a great idea to make a list of all my favorite Keto products to help those who want to start Keto! I have been on keto for a while now, which makes me a keto expert. LOL.
I have spent many, many, moons researching everything keto so I figured I would make a list to help anyone who wants to make this ~*~LiFeStYlE ChAnGe~*~. Here are my top go-to keto products that I use errrrryday.
1. Electrolyte Water
I DO believe this water has helped me avoid the dreaded keto flu. When I first started keto, or when I’m trying to get back into ketosis, I would drink one of these every other day. Now I have one or two a week just to keep replenishing my electrolytes. In every keto blog you will read, it ALWAYS mentions the best way to avoid the keto flu is with electrolytes.
2. Magnesium and potassium pills
Another thing you will need to replenish is your magnesium and potassium. I read through a Reddit forum on the best supplements to take on keto, and this suggestion popped up repeatedly. This is just another great way to avoid the keto flu is with these supplements. Magnesium and potassium with the electrolytes is a win-win combo.
3. Pee strips
One of the easiest ways to test to see if you are in ketosis is pee strips. Just pop a squat and pee directly on the stick. And if you had slutty college years, peeing on a stick should be easy for you. Just remember that eventually the strips will stop working. You will stop peeing out keytones cause your body will be using them instead of flushing them. After that you can look into a blood monitor.
4. Hydroflask or any water bottle
When you are in ketosis you will have unbelievable cottonmouth. I personally love my hydroflask because I can type on my computer at work while sucking down my water. It’s called multitasking. And every beauty blogger out there tells you to drink more water anyways soooo #healthyskin #glowing #newyear #newme.
5. MCT powder
MCT powder is great for brain health. It’s fatty acids that can be readily used by the brain, muscle and other tissues for sustainable energy. I personally like the vanilla powder the best. I know people who just mix it into a bottle of water, and that’s fine to do, but I personally like putting it in my tea or coffee. It gives everything a hint of vanilla flavoring.
6. Tracking App
I personally use the carb manager app. It’s free, its accurate and it does exactly what I want it to do. I am pretty aware about what foods have what carbs at this point but I still use it to make sure I’m reaching my fat goals and that I’m not overdoing it on protein. This app is really nice to copy meals from day to day or to enter in recipes. My favorite feature is the bar code scanner! Sometimes, I just walk through the store scanning ERRYTHING.
8. Butter
Lastly, get ready to get your butter on. Grass-fed butter obviously. Butter is a great way to up your fat and it tastes great cause DUH IT’S BUTTER. So hop on down to your local Costco and get yourself 43 pounds of butter.
Well, there ya have it folks. Now you can officially get your keto products and be as prepared as ever. Go get your fat on!
