Planning to visit Athens, Greece? An ancient architect’s dream! Everything is old, old, old.
So many great ancient sites. Everything was pretty cheap here so you can get more bang for your buck.
Money: Euros
Transportaion: Metro, taxi and Ubers
Language: Greek, a large majority spoke English in the heart of Athens. The more you travel out of the city center, the less English you are bound to find.

Tips
- One of my biggest tips is to be aware if you are a woman and wear shorts. One of the hot days we were there, I decided to wear a romper. I can’t tell you how uncomfortable I was. It felt like every man was staring at my legs. Right in the city center was fine, but towards the outskirts of the city, the more uncomfortable I was. The women caaaaan wear shorts, its not unheard of, it’s just not common.
- Known for olive oil, so get yourself some nice soap!
- Try Ouzo. Famous Greek alcohol
