What to Do in Kauai, Hawaii
- Snorkeling Tour: This is the tour we did. Super great tour. Just make sure to take your barf meds!
- Napoli coast: We viewed the coast on the boar tour, posted above, but if we hadn’t we probably would have hiked it.
- Hiking Wai Koa Loop Trail: We rented bikes but I guess they stopped doing that. I still recommend hiking it though
- Secret Beach: The secret beach is a littttlleee hard to get to. It’s pretty much like walking down slippery, muddy snot to a beautiful private beach. 6/10 on the hardness scale especially if it rains.
- Kauai Coffee Plantation: Want to sample coffee and walk around the plantation? Then this place is for you!
- Hanalei Town: the town that inspired Lilo and Stitch
- Poipu Beach for snorkeling: out in front of the Marriott Waiohai. Water isn’t too rough and lots of fish – even an occasional turtle.
- Hike in Waimea Canyon: go to Kalalau Lookout too.
- Queen’s Bath: a natural pool in Princeville. My favorite from the trip
- Zipline: We didn’t have time to zipline but tons of people do
- Tubing through a pineapple plantation– another thing we looked into but it was ALL BOOKED UP! They fill up months in advance.
I also have an excel sheet with more activities HERE!
What to Eat in Kauai, Hawaii
- Kalapaki Joes: Good Hula Pie
- Kilauea Fish Market: If you love poke… We actually went here TWICE!
- Hee Fat General Store: best shaved ice on the island, so they say. I thought it was delishhhhh.
- Art Cafe Hemingway: Great brunch/ breakfast
- Java Kai: Another great breakfast
- Verde: Good Mexican food. It’s no California Mexican but it will do
- Chicken in a Barrel– We didn’t have time to go here but it was on our list!
- Kauai Kookie Factory: Another place we didn’t have time for, but it was on our list
